2023 update:
I now go by the name Sian Mak (previously Zoe Mak)I’ve been DJ’ing since my teens when my secondary school bizarrely decided to buy some DJ equipment and I immediately volunteered to put on school discos. It wasn’t long before I swapped school discos for house parties, squat parties, local pubs and underground clubs.A product of synth pop and acid house but a music lover first and foremost with a music collection spanning almost every genre, I host pop-up shows for Trans Radio UK
- The Time Travelling Show: Join me as I travel in time 10, 20, 30, 40 and occasionally 50 years to shine the spotlight on 20 songs that made a lasting impression on me from whichever year my time machine takes me – expect the eclectic!
- The Time Travelling Show (Twilight Zone Edition): Delve into a dreamy, textured soundscape of downtempo beats, lush electronica, torch songs, ambient sounds and other oddities, again from 10, 20, 30 and 40 years ago + some one-off specials; “turn on, tune in, drop chill out”

I have always loved music for as long as I can remember, my dad was a DJ in the 60's, driving to gigs on his Triumph motorbike with a speaker strapped to his back, he also plays the accordion and piano, I played the flute, piano, recorder (of course!)
I was born and raised in Manchester, where I gained my love of The Blues by regularly attending the legendary “Band On The Wall”. I gained her love of classic soul thanks to her sister letting her have her old Stax and Motown records.
