Statement re: Roe Vs Wade

Trans Radio UK are saddened to hear in America that the rights of millions of women, trans
men, and non binary people have been stripped by the overturning of Roe Vs Wade, which
gave those people who were pregnant the choice over their own body.
We are also concerned to hear the knock on impact that is thought to now be possible on the
removal of rights regarding same sex relationships and same sex marriages, across the
United States.
Throughout the world, people are having to fight harder and harder for the right just to be
who they are, and to live their lives how they choose to live them.
We are of course also experiencing this here in the United Kingdom ourselves, with the hate
preachers using funding from Russia and the United States to stoke a culture war against
trans people, in order to push a far right ideology.
The whole team here at Trans Radio UK are deeply passionate about the rights of all
LGBTQ+ people, and we will continue to serve and fight for the whole community in our
radio station, TRUK Listens help line, and TRUK United Football Club.
We have both cis and trans people here in our teams, as well as in our audience, and we
care so very much about the rights of women, men and non binary people not just for
ourselves, but for those we call our friends, our family, our loved ones, and our neighbours,
throughout the world.
We are here for you, always.

As an organisation, or as we see ourselves… a family, we believe that we can all have our
own thoughts on politics, without it needing to affect our love and support for one another.
We are proud of each and every one of you, which is why we will never give up!
